Support the YWCA !
The YWCA Northeastern Massachusetts [formerly YWCA of Greater Lawrence] was founded in 1892 to provide safe housing, job training and support to women moving from rural communities and overseas to work in area mills and shops. Today, a thriving social change agency, we serve more than 15,000 women, children and families from throughout Merrimack Valley, Essex County and Southern NH every year. We are an affiliate of the YWCA USA, the nation’s oldest and largest multicultural women’s organization working for social and economic change.
The YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
