1892 Club

Each year, we gather to celebrate their achievements, to recognize their impact, and to honor the difference they’ve made.

But what if that moment didn’t end when they stepped off the stage?

What if recognition became something more?

1892 CLUB

For more than 40 years, the Tribute to Women Luncheon hosted by the YWCA Northeastern Massachusetts has honored over 875 extraordinary women across the Merrimack Valley and North Shore.

Women who lead.
Women who advocate.
Women who build stronger communities for all of us.

Each year, we gather to celebrate their achievements, to recognize their impact, and to honor the difference they’ve made.

But what if that moment didn’t end when they stepped off the stage? What if recognition became something more?

Introducing…
The 1892 Club.

A leadership and giving society created exclusively for Tribute to Women honorees.

Named for the founding year of the YWCA movement, the 1892 Club is rooted in a powerful legacy—and designed for the future.

Because the women we honor each year are more than individual leaders. Together, they represent something extraordinary.

A network of influence.
A collective voice.
A force for lasting change.

The 1892 Club brings these women together—past and present honorees—into a shared community of changemakers.

A space to stay connected.
To collaborate.
To lead—together.

Because when some of the most influential women in our region come together with purpose, the impact is not just meaningful—

It’s transformational.

At the heart of the 1892 Club is a simple but powerful idea:

To turn recognition into collective impact.

Through a shared commitment to the mission of the YWCA, members of the 1892 Club will help shape the future for women, girls, and families across our community.

Not a Tribute to Women Honoree but still want to support the 1892 Club? Donate to the 1892 Fund! Once the Club reaches its goal of $18,920.00, the women will cometogether and decide how the funds will be invested, ensuring that every dollar reflcts both the mission of the YWCA and the lived leadership of the honorees.

You are invited to contribute at one of four symbolic levels, inspired by our founding year:

  • $18.92
  • $189.20
  • $1,892.00
  • $18,920.00

Volunteer Opportunities

At the YWCA North Shore Rape Crisis Center, our staff and volunteers work together to support survivors and their loved ones, providing resources and a safe space for them to guide their own healing journey. We also share the important role of raising awareness in our communities and actively working to prevent future assaults. We welcome volunteers of all genders, sexual orientations, religions, and ethnicities, including survivors and their significant others. If you’re ready to make a difference, we encourage you to apply.

Rape Crisis Hotline Counselor

Provide compassionate support to those who reach out through our 24-hour hotline. Our callers include survivors, their loved ones, and professionals seeking resources or a safe space to discuss options. While hotline volunteers are encouraged to get involved in other areas such as Medical Advocacy, Legal Advocacy, and Community Education, this is not a requirement. All volunteers start with the Hotline before exploring additional responsibilities.

Medical Advocate

Be a guiding presence for survivors during their visit to area hospitals, assisting them through the evidence collection process and informing them of all available options. You’ll also provide support to loved ones who accompany them. This vital service is available 24/7. Medical Advocates must have a shift with our Hotline and complete the required training before handling cases independently. While on shift, you’ll also respond to hotline calls unless you are actively at the hospital.
