Empowering Youth through Enrichment Programs
School Age Enrichment Program
At the YWCA, we believe in providing youth ages 5 to 13 with diverse enrichment opportunities to help them thrive. Our School Age Enrichment Program includes:
Urban Explorers
A program in collaboration with outdoor programs. This initiative allows middle-school-age girls and boys to explore the great outdoors, fostering wilderness skills and a love for nature. In all of our programs, our staff takes kids on city hikes to develop outdoor skills.
Nutrition Education
We offer fun and interactive nutrition instruction. This program teaches youth about healthy eating, enjoy nutritious snacks, and actively participate in food preparation. The information provided is shared with the entire family, promoting a healthier lifestyle.
Tutoring and Homework Assistance
YWCA staff and volunteers are dedicated to helping youth excel in school. We provide tutoring and homework assistance, focusing on literacy, math, science, and social studies. Our goal is to improve school performance and boost confidence.
At the YWCA, we are committed to empowering youth by providing opportunities for growth, learning, and exploration.
