Youth Services
Empowering Young Minds in Our Programs
The YW’s Youth Services grew out of women’s economic needs for safe, world-class programs to serve their children while they work to reach their personal and professional goals. Today, our award-winning Early Learning Centers serves 134 children ages 1 month to 5 years with an innovative curriculum that focuses on establishing solid foundations in core knowledge areas, including number and letter identification, reading, comprehension and writing skills.
At the YWCA After-School and Out-of-School-Time Enrichment Program, we provide a safe, enriching, and fun environment year-round for children aged 5 to 14 at three convenient locations. Our programs operate after school during the academic year and offer full-day services during school vacation weeks and the summer and serves 252 children. Rest assured; all YWCA programs are fully licensed by Massachusetts Early Education and Care.

Flexible Fees and Hours
We understand that every family’s needs are unique. That’s why our fees are based on a sliding scale considering family income and size, ensuring that parents pay what they can afford. Our after-school program runs from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the school year, except on school holidays. For your convenience, the program operates during school vacations and throughout the summer from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Engaging Activities and Enrichment
Our age-appropriate activities focus on social, emotional, and academic development. We empower children to make choices and express their creativity. We offer various options, whether it’s team sports, physical activities in our gymnasium, pool time, or visits to nearby parks. Homework Help is available with support from classroom educators, including one-on-one or small group tutoring for those who need it.
Enrichment Opportunities
Does your child want to join the Urban Explorers Club and embark on hikes, camping trips, and kayaking adventures? They may dream of participating in the Girls’ Center to explore a future full of possibilities. We also offer opportunities to learn swimming, karate, or even publish a newspaper. Our Enrichment programs are designed to inspire, and we regularly schedule family events so parents can join in the fun.
